Yoast SEO is a WordPress plugin for on page and technical SEO, made by Yoast BV, a company founded by Joost de Valk in 2010 and based in Wijchen, the Netherlands. It is used by site owners, bloggers, content teams and agencies running WordPress sites, with a free version and a paid Premium version.

The plugin gives real time SEO and readability feedback while writing, checks posts against up to five keyphrases, suggests relevant internal links and prompts for redirects when a page is moved or deleted. It also generates structured data for pages automatically. Schema aggregation combines a site's structured data into one deduplicated graph controlled by a single setting. Premium adds AI drafted SEO titles and meta descriptions, page by page or in bulk, with each suggestion reviewed before saving, plus AI drafted social sharing titles and descriptions. A Content Planner suggests ideas based on existing content and builds a starter draft, and a bot blocker lets site owners choose which AI systems may use their content for training.

Yoast SEO Premium is priced per site on an annual subscription, with additional sites needing their own subscriptions and bulk discounts available. The free plugin can be downloaded from the Yoast website.
